Friendships

Hope you all had a lovely weekend Mine was very quite as I was not feeling to good, I  had another flare up of my gallbladder on Friday evening the pain is horrendous and always makes me sick so spent a couple of hours on and off with my head in the loo, no word yet of when I will be going for my gallbladder out hope it’s not to long.. Today’s card I have gone with a Penny Black stamp called Bejeweled it’s only the second time I have inked it up  and I have had it for a while, I coloured the stamp with Tombow ABT duel brush pens then spritz it with water before stamping it on to a piece of white water colour card that I cut out using a hexagon shape , I love this technique watching how the image dries and the affect you get.  Using the hexagon die I cut the main card in a deep pink to match the colour of my stamped image , once my image was dry I added a bit of stencilling  and stamped the sentiment on to my card.

Same stamp as one of my cards but such a different look Babs, like you I love the ink to stamp technique and seeing the bloom come to life and the colours and depth build up. And the card shape compliments the image as well.

This stamp always reminds me of the 'shaggy' Chrysanthemums my Dad used to grow, he had quite a variety and used to show them at the County Show, rows of them bobbed about with their protective bags on by the farmyard garden. He never could understand why I wanted Lilies for my bouquet and not chrysanthemums as in October he had an abundance of them - and in those days Lilies had to come from overseas at that time of year so not cheap - and my elderly Aunts were horrified when they saw them.

Thanks so much for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge.
